We are delighted to highlight the publication of the Scottish Mental Health Nursing Review, a landmark report that recognises the vital role mental health nurses play in supporting the wellbeing of people across Scotland. The Review sets out a bold vision for a skilled, supported, and sustainable mental health nursing workforce, now and into the future.

We are especially proud to highlight the contribution of Dr Hamish Fulford, our Consultant Nurse in Psychological Therapies, who served as Chair of the Practitioner Reference Group. Dr Fulford played a key leadership role in shaping the Review, ensuring that the voices and experiences of frontline mental health nurses were central to its development.

You can also hear directly from those involved through a series of podcasts, developed in partnership with NHS Education for Scotland. These episodes feature personal journeys, reflections, and examples of good practice from across the country. Listen to the podcasts here.
